“Calendars Featuring Nude Photography”

Nude calendars have existed for decades and appear in many different forms. Some photographers choose artistic black-and-white photography, while other calendars combine glamour, sports, or a specific theme with nude photography. In this overview, I have collected a number of remarkable examples that caught my attention this year.

The calendars come from various countries and range from small-scale art projects to commercial publications by well-known producers. Some are no longer available, but they remain an interesting source of inspiration.

Super Pappe

Beautiful women posing with vehicles from the former Eastern Bloc. Cars and provocative photographs are, of course, a classic combination. You can find them on Bigthings.eu. There are three calendars: one with Trabants, one with mopeds, and one with IFA vehicles. Update: the calendars are no longer available.

Fishing Calendar

Another hobby enjoyed by many men, combined with beautiful women: fishing. I must admit that I also created a similar photograph myself for the student calendar in 2005. The website was Angelkalender.com. Update: the website is offline.

Stone Nudes

Atmospheric black-and-white photographs of very athletic women climbing rock faces. A fascinating sport, captured in a unique way by Dean Fidelman. More information can be found at StoneNudes.com.

Stefan Weis

You can find various calendars by Stefan Weis on his website: SW-akt.de. There are themed calendars featuring, for example, pregnant women, redheads, and calendars focused entirely on buttocks. Update: the website is offline.

The Erotic Zodiac

Photographer Manfred Baumann celebrates an anniversary with ‘The Erotic Zodiac’: it is the tenth time he has published a nude calendar. The zodiac signs were chosen as the theme. More information can be found at Manfredbaumann.com.

Bodensee Akt

A particularly beautiful calendar by photographer Thomas Bichler: Bodensee Akt. Atmospheric black-and-white nude photographs taken around Lake Constance.

Farmers Calendar

At Bauernkalender.ch, they offer both a Swiss and a German calendar featuring beautiful female farmers. The German version is combined with the ‘Alpengirls’ edition. In this version, the models are photographed in the mountains rather than in a farm setting. This is a calendar I personally find very beautiful.

Young Farmers Calendar

Another calendar from the German-speaking world: Jungbauernkalender.de. This calendar is also available in two versions: one featuring German female farmers and one featuring Austrian female farmers. Several photographs appear in both editions, so there is little point in purchasing both.
